Impossible Woman
Intersection of : Gender / Insurgent Space / Narrative. Relying on the idea of Gender “Performativity” by Judith Butler (2002), the impossible woman was defined as the “Rebellious Woman” that stands up to idealistic gender norms and defies them. In an autoethnographic journey, I looked back to find these moments of gender defiance, finding out spaces where the impossible (or deemed impossible) becoming possible. This investigation is presented in 7 fragments of space. In this Project I used methods such as ethnography, drawing and digital fabrication as ways to uncover spaces and narrate the private yet political story within it.
