Impossible Woman
MA Architecture Final Thesis Project (University of Westminster 2024-2025). Intersection of : Gender / Insurgent Space / Narrative. Relying on the idea of Gender “Performativity” by Judith Butler (2002), the impossible woman was defined as the “Rebellious Woman” that stands up to idealistic gender norms and defies them. In an autoethnographic journey, I looked back to find these moments of gender defiance, finding out spaces where the impossible (or deemed impossible) becoming possible. This investigation is presented in 7 fragments of space. In this Project I used methods such as interviews, investigation by photos, drawing, writing and 3D modelling as ways to uncover spaces and narrate the private yet political story within it. For me, this project was a mini and personal forensic investigation.
